Mary Kay Palazzo

I am an artist from Avon, Ohio, and am currently working towards my BFA in Crafts with a concentration in Jewelry and Metals and a minor in Nonprofit Studies at Kent State University. When making work, I tend to consider the balance between form and functionality. I am interested in the juxtaposition of task performance and visual design. I reject the notion that form and functionality must be perfectly balanced, and believe that imbalance has a place in art. One of the most interesting things about creating work is being able to assign the level of balance to a piece.
