Voices and stories need to be heard. Audition for a role in the Me Too Monologues! All are welcome to audition.
The University of Akron Theatre Program is looking for performers for their upcoming production of Me Too Monologues, directed by Jim Slowiak. The production is about a variety of identities to focus on amplifying voices rarely heard on stage and to use theatre to raise consciousness around structural oppressions on our campus and in our community. We're open to any facet of identity: gender, expression, mental health, race, religion, ethnicity, ability, sexual orientation, class, country of origin, immigration status, ability, age, gender identity.
Submission Deadline: Friday, March 10, 2017
We want all stories - sad, happy, funny, scary, angry, contemplative, whatever.
We want all formats - anecdotes, poems, speeches, blog posts, conversations, interviews.
Really, absolutely any format is acceptable.
No story is too small.
