Waterloo Arts invites all artists residing in the US or Canada to submit artwork for the 2017 Waterloo Arts Juried Exhibition. This is a unique opportunity for artists to exhibit work in the Waterloo Arts Gallery in Cleveland, Ohio. Artists will receive substantial exposure during the district’s largest community event, The Waterloo Arts Fest, welcoming more than 5,000 attendees.

Opening Reception and Juror’s Awards: Friday, June 2nd from 6-10 pm
14th Waterloo Arts Fest: Saturday, June 24th from 12-7 pm

TIMELINE
Submission Deadline: April 2, 2017
Jury Notification: April 30, 2017
Shipping and Delivery: May 1 to May 20, 2017
Exhibition Opening: June 2, 2017
Waterloo Arts Fest: June 24, 2017
Exhibition Closing: July 21, 2017

AWARDS
Best of Show: $500
Second Best of Show: $250
Honorable Mentions: $100

RULES OF ENTRY
Artists must be at least 18 years of age and reside in the US or Canada
Artist may submit up to three (3) pieces of original art in any two-dimensional or three-dimensional media
Time based, electronic media, performance art, and installations will NOT be accepted.
Work exceeding 36 inches in any dimension may be excluded due to space restrictions
Work may not exceed seventy pounds in weight
All work must have been executed within the last 5 years and not previously shown at Waterloo Arts
Entries must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibition to be eligible for awards
Artists must grant permission for Waterloo Arts to use their images and information in promotional materials

FEES
$30 non-refundable fee for up to three pieces

Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend

In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative. This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.
