The Canton Museum of Art (CMA) seeks a Digital Imaging Intern.  This is a part time internship position responsible for creating and editing digital images of the Museum’s permanent collection used for the Museum's database and website. This position is in the Registrar Department, and reports to the Registrar/Collections Manager.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Using Adobe Photoshop skills to create, edit, and manipulate digital images of the Museum's permanent collection.
Assist Collection Manager in editing and inputting images and data into the Museum's database and website.
Participate in CMA activities, events, meetings, and programs as needed.
Provide excellence in service and always portray a positive and professional image of the CMA.
Perform all duties according to established CMA operating, safety, and quality policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Open to photography and art majors
Must use their own laptop and software
Basic Adobe Photoshop skills are a plus
Must be self-motivated and follow instructions both written and verbal
Accomplishes tasks with a sense of urgency
Dependable, friendly, cooperative, organized
Ability to manage multiple projects/activities simultaneously
Creative problem solver with ability to work independently and as part of a team

Timeframe:
Flexible and variable schedule in accordance with internship requirements (if applicable).
Interns are requested to volunteer approximately 10-20 hours per week for the length of 8-16 weeks.

Compensation:
This is an unpaid/volunteer internship.

Cover letter should explain your career goals, interest in research and reasons for applying for a Photography Assistant internship with the Canton Museum of Art.
Spring Semester: Application due by January 8, 2017.  Internship will start January, 2017 and end in April 2017.
Summer Semester: Application due by May 7, 2017.  Internship will start May, 2017 and end in August 2017.
Fall Semester: Application due by September 11, 2017.  Internship will start September, 2017 and end in December 2017.
