Beck Center for the Arts in Lakewood, Ohio is looking to hire art, dance and music teaching artists for summer dates. Hours are sporadic and minimal (less than part-time hours) and applicants must be available during the day weekdays only.

Applicants would be teaching our summer Arts Sampler field trips. Each event is approximately two hours each and each teaching artist would only need two or three 30 minute lesson plans.

Requirements:

  • 18 or older.
  • Reliable transportation and cellphone.
  • Education and experience of your art discipline.
  • Some teaching experience in your field.

Duties:

  • Create and teach a quick, engaging age appropriate lesson plan for students ages 4 - 12. Most students are ages 7-10.
  • ART - must create one or two brief 30 minute make it and take it lesson plans.
  • DANCE - teach jazz, hip-hop, or musical theatre style.
  • MUSIC - general music, vocal music, must be able to play piano and/or play and own a guitar.
