Calling Ohio Artists, Writers, Performers and Makers for the Kent Creativity Festival!

The Kent Creativity Festival event planning committee invites you to submit an application to participate in the third annual Kent Creativity Festival, to be held on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018. Submit a 2018 artist application on the festival website. The festival is a collective effort by the City of Kent and Kent State University, including many organizations focused on arts and culture in our vibrant city.

A free event, it takes place on the Lester A. Lefton Esplanade between S. Lincoln St. and downtown Kent. Participants are asked to prepare and lead interactive activities that will engage and inspire people to explore their own creativity, and participate in the joy and transformative power of making art. The application process will close on June 1, 2018 and the artist selections made by July 15. Stipends are provided to help cover the cost of artist supplies.

Additionally this year, the festival is opening up opportunities for performers to participate on the festival stage. All interested performers are required to submit a video link for consideration. Performers who have an instructional component to their act are especially encouraged to submit their application online. You may fill out the Performer Submission Form by June 1, 2018. Selections will be made by July 1, 2018.
