Deadline: December 8, 2018

Puffin Foundation West, Ltd. seeks to open the doors of artistic expression by providing grants to artist activists and arts organizations often excluded from mainstream opportunities due to race, gender, or social philosophy. Artists are able to reach across the borders of our imagination and in doing so often peaceably transform society's ideas about social justice issues.

To that end, the foundation is accepting applications for art projects by individuals or organizations that educate and inform the public on important, timely topics facing the country (and planet) that other organizations might hesitate to fund. The foundation gives special consideration to communities and school districts underserved by the arts. In 2019, the foundation will consider projects from individual artists and organizations working within the visual arts, dance, music, theater, photography, film/video, writing, poetry, and public interest platforms.

Grant awards will range between $550 and $2,500.

Eligible applicants include individuals and  nonprofit educational, cultural, and social justice organizations.
