Akron Soul Train Exhibition featuring Joshua Eiskamp and Charisse Harris

Akron Soul Train’s presents the artwork of October artists in residence, Joshua Eiskamp and Charisse Harris.

Akron Soul Train is thrilled to present the work of Joshua Eiskamp and Charisse Mae Harris, AST’s October artists in residence. The exhibition opens on December 1, 2018 with an opening reception from 2:00-5:00 pm. The artists will each give a brief presentation on their work; Harris at 2:30 pm and Eiskamp at 3:30 pm. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.

Charisse Mae Harris

Through her autobiographical miniature sculptures, Harris “aims to explore the evolution and complexities of soul food in black culture.” She is a mixed media artist exploring issues regarding identify, black culture, faith and female representation. Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend

In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative. This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.
