AKRON ARTWALK still has a place in the hearts of local residents as a destination for the first Saturday night of the month. Summit Artspace, Northside Market and Zeber-Martell Studio and Art Gallery have had a long and fulfilling relationship with Artwalk and the visitors who come regularly for arts and culture have become our friends!
We are proud to be your “night out” when the first Saturday night of the month rolls around and you need your art fix! The three locations will be open from 5 to 9 at both Northside, 106 N. Main St., Summit Artspace on East Market, 140 E. Market St., and Zeber-Martell at 43 Furnace St., Akron.
Art will still be the focus! Artists will be in their studios talking to visitors about their craft and showing their latest pieces. You may even catch some of them creating. Ask questions! They love it! Many of the studios double as shops so you’ll be able to browse the artwork for sale.

At Summit Artspace, galleries will be open. Admission is free. The galleries will regularly exhibit new and wonderful shows that include photography, painting, sculpture, collage, glass, found objects and fiber artistry. On the third floor you’ll find Gallery A run by the Akron Society of Artists and The BOX Gallery run by the Artists of Rubber City. Galleries have varying schedules and may not all be open for Artwalks. Here is map of floors 1 and 3.
Also at Summit Artspace, each month will feature pop-up shops from local artists as well as local musicians lending their melodies to the upbeat atmosphere. Our website is summitartspace.org.
Northside’s June market will be taking place on Saturday, June 3rd with a new time from 5pm – 9pm. They will be set up outdoors located at 106 N Main St. in Akron, Ohio (across from Luigi’s). A perfect opportunity to pick up something different and support local makers, artists & vendors.
The Northside Market is a local shopping experience including handmade goods, fine art, vintage items and more. DJ Chaka Clemens will be spinning jams.
The Northside Market is a celebration of the community of the Northside District. We strive to work with other artists, entrepreneurs & businesses to create opportunities to promote unity and growth.

So when the first of the month rolls around, Zeber-Martell, Northside Market and Summit Artspace will be open for Artwalk, same as always, on the first Saturday, 5-9 pm. See the schedule going forward below. We encourage Akron and Summit County residents to also head downtown for the new 3rd THURSDAY event, the third Thursday of the month, beginning with June 15. The sites will definitely be open with art and fun!
