Bioscope- Plagiarizing Nature

A student exhibition showcasing work created from The University of Akron’s Myers School of Art Biomimetic Design class.

“Bioscope-Plagiarizing Nature” is a student exhibition showcasing interdisciplinary design research in biomimetics. The course Biomimetic Design aimed at exploring biological patterns to create new design solutions. Order, as one of the most important signs of life, served as a starting point for researching biological role models such as snake skin, honeycombs, growth patterns in turtle shells and many others. The exhibition presents the biological role models and nine spatial and artistic interpretations.

Opening Reception is Tuesday, February 7th from 7-9 pm.

Light refreshments will be served. Event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public.
