ArtsNow: Community Forum - City of Akron

Quarterly convening of the leadership of any arts/culture organization in Summit County.

One goal of the Leadership Council is to ensure that the creative sector in Summit County is current on local civic and community efforts. The upcoming Nov. 13 discussion will focus on the city of Akron. The following local leaders will join our arts and culture leadership council to share their initiatives:

Dan Rice/Kyle Kutuchief on Reimagining the Civic Commons updates

Downtown Akron Partnership on the TIGER grant and its strategic plan

Tina Ughrin of Neighbourhood Congress will share her work leading the neighborhood congress across Akron’s communities.

The City of Akron on the TIGER grant, BOUNCE, and the new economic development plan for the city

Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend

April 4, 2024 | 12:00-1:00 p.m. | Online

In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative. This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.

Who should attend?
Nonprofit and for-profit leadership and marketing/communication professionals interested in learning about SEEN and participating in a conversation about the importance of authenticity and representation in our work.
