Get engaged: pre-concert talk at 6:30 p.m.

This riveting program juxtaposes two musical giants of Romanticism — Antonin Dvořák and Johannes Brahms — contemporaries and friends who drew mutual inspiration from each other.

  • Johannes Brahms’ C minor Piano Trio, Op. 101 — searing intensity and epic proportions
  • Brahms’ selected Hungarian Dances for piano four-hands
  • Antonin Dvořák’s Quintet for Piano and Strings in A major, Op. 81
  • Dvořák’s selected Slavonic Dances for piano four-hands

A prized constituent of Lincoln Center, the largest performing arts complex in the world, CMS features a revolving and unparalleled roster of young performers. This concert is part of Tuesday Musical’s Clara Knight Young Artist Series and is the beginning on an ongoing education partnership with CMS.
