Corrugated Color Carnival Opening Reception

April 13th opening artist reception. Up through May 5th

I live in North Canton with my beloved family of people and animals. Between distractions, which includes a work from home job, I strive to let creativity flow. It is an essential part of my mind’s well-being, as it is for most humans.

I am a self-taught artist who leans toward abstract and cubist styles.

Although my main tool is acrylic paint, I like to experiment with different materials, such as charcoal, glue and paper, random pieces of trash, etc.

My latest work includes a mix of collage and painting on, or incorporating, cardboard. I also use many of my own previous drawings or doodles as collage elements.

I generally create without a lot of conscious intention. Each piece of artwork will morph several times, as I test different shapes, colors, or textures.

It is always exciting to see others enjoy and interpret my work. I especially am impressed when a piece prompts someone’s imagination or speaks to them in a way I never would have considered.

Also, I have a FB page: ... view more »
