Join team members from Curated Storefront and Akron Soul Train in the lobby of the Akron Art Museum for a walking tour of downtown Akron’s storefront exhibitions featuring artwork by local and regional artists.
Several empty storefronts along High Street and Main Street have come to life with a variety of art with everything from painting and photography to installation and video works. One of the storefront locations includes a special exhibition in collaboration with Akron Soul Train featuring art created by its artist fellows since 2016. Some of the presenting artists, in the AST Fellow Retrospective Exhibition, Jenniffer Omaitz and Eva Kwong, will join in the tour to briefly talk about their work. The tour will conclude back at the Akron Art Museum in time for the Downtown @ Dusk concert series beginning at 6:30pm in the Bud and Susie Rogers Garden.
