Hip-Hop Preservation Project

Keepers of the Art, Inc. is proud to present the second installement of the Hip-Hop Preservation Project featuring the Chef Raekwon of the Wu-Tang Clan.

The Hip-Hop Preservation Project (HHPP) is a catalyst for an international movement designed to counteract the commercialization of hip-hop music through the re-education and re-introduction of Hip-Hop culture’s original worldview, it’s history and it’s other original cultural elements on a community-based level.

The Chef Raekwon took the music industry by storm as a member of the world reknown Hip-Hop group Wu-Tang Clan in 1993. In 1995 Raekwon released his classic solo debut Only Built 4 Cuban Linx (The Purple Tape) guest starring Tony Starks (Ghost Face Killer). Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, a collection of Wu-Tang inspired mafioso tales highlighted Raekwon’s vivid storytelling ability and further cemented the Wu-Tang Clan as a group not to mess with. The Chef added jewels to his Cuban Linx with slept on joints such as Immobilarity, The Lex Diamond Story, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx 2, Shaolin vs Wu-Tang, FILA (Fly International Luxurious Art), and The Wild.
