Main Event: George Saunder

Presented by Akron-Summit County Public Library - Main at Akron-Summit County Public Library (Main), Akron OH

Apr 06 2017
Main Event: George Saunder

George Saunders will read from and discuss his work.

The recipient of a 2006 MacArthur Foundation Fellowship, George Saunders is the author of four collections of short stories, a novella, a book of essays, and an award-winning children’s book. His most recent collection of short stories, Tenth of December, was proclaimed by the New York Times as being “the best book you will read this year.” In his long-awaited first novel, Lincoln in the Bardo, Saunders has written what has been described as his most original, transcendent, and moving work yet. Unfolding in a graveyard over the course of a single night, and narrated by a dazzling chorus of voices, this is a literary experience unlike any other.

A Q& A session will follow the presentation.

Auditorium doors open at 6:30pm.
