Martha's Mistake

Martha’s Mistake’s acoustic renditions of cover tunes as well as a growing body of original music are rich in close, three part harmonies and skilled instrumentation.

Martha’s Mistake is Karyn Morgan, Tracy Kinney, and Kathy Garrenton. These three women have been performing together for the last seven years and continue to gain attention throughout the region. Their acoustic renditions of cover tunes as well as a growing body of original music are rich in close, three part harmonies and skilled instrumentation with guitars, banjo, mandolin, bass, dobro, hand percussion, and more.

All are veteran musicians and have performed with a variety of local or regional groups. Karyn is also a current member of Up til 4, a popular acoustic rock group in the area. Tracy and Karyn were formerly members of the ten piece celtic band, Lia Fail, and they have performed together in various projects over the last twenty years. Recordings of original music include the self-titled CD “Lia Fail” (1996), “River’s Edge” (1990) by Karyn Morgan, and “Let Love Reign” (2015) by Karyn Morgan.
