Stimulate your parasympathetic nervous system through sitting meditation (zazen), walking meditation (kinhin), and stress reduction meditation (visualization). The parasympathetic nervous system controls the “rest and digest” response in the body which is a system that slows the heart and breathing rate, and causes blood vessels to dilate thus improving blood flow. For those planning to attend this session, wearing loose or stretchy clothing is recommended.
