Michelle Grabner at Myers School of Art

Join us for a conversation between Michelle Grabner, artist and artistic director for FRONT and Matthew Kolodziej, artist and professor of art, Myers School of Art.

Grabner is the Crown Family Professor of Art at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where she has taught for twenty years. Grabner co-curated the 2014 Whitney Biennial and the 2016 Portland Biennial. As artistic director for FRONT International: Cleveland Triennial of Contemporary Art, Grabner is in the process of overseeing over 60 artists who willl be exhibiting in institutions and public spaces throughout North East Ohio. FRONT runs July 14 – September 30, 2018. A distinguished artist in her own right, Grabner’s work has been featured in recent exhibitions at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, and the James Cohan Gallery in New York.

Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend

In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative. This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.
