Join us for a live interview with local artist, Kathryn Shinko at 91.3 The Summit’s Studio C on Friday, September 22 at 6pm. MUwDV is an artist interview series in which Volk asks artists questions while they create art on his face using everyday makeup. Danny’s face is revealed at the end of the interview, creating a fun and exciting climax to the informative conversation. Local band Comfort Clouds will be playing before each live Akron interview.
Kathryn received her BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Akron in 2011 and her MFA in Textiles at Kent State University in 2015. Her work has been shown across the United States in cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Denver, Santa Ana, Erie, and Ft. Lauderdale. She is currently an adjunct instructor of design at Myers School of Art at The University of Akron.
