Photography Into Fine Art Prints

Presented by Rubber City Prints, Inc. at Rubber City Prints, Inc., Akron OH

Photography Into Fine Art Prints

Great photos? Stunning prints!

Convert your own images into one-color prints! We will explore paper-litho and smartplates. These two processes work on the fact that oil and water don’t mix. You can physically alter your photograph with pens & sharpies, creating a new image. Paper-litho will give you a distressed image while smartplates are true to the original. We will show you the process of converting your photos to be able to use these processes.

Krista Rickert, Executive Director, holds her BA in Printmaking and BA in Psychology from Kent State University.  She began working for RCP in 2014 and became Director in 2015.  Under Krista’s supervision RCP has significantly increased its community outreach programs and has succeeded in creating exhibition opportunities for local artists.  She continues to work with interns and volunteers to further involve the community in the non-profit arts organization.
