Stenciling Without Bridges

Fast-paced stencils & spray paint!

A crash course into stenciling, attendees will learn how to design their own poster using stencils and spray paint. Attention will be given to translating the composition to a cut stencil, specifically how to create a stencil without the use of bridges to hold islands in place. Students will also learn registration techniques for multilayered stencils along with other tips related to spray paint and stenciling. Attendees are encouraged to come ready with sketches or other imagery.

Chad Uehlein is a 25 year old artist from Northeast Ohio. He is currently attending The University of Akron’s Mary Schiller Myers School of Art where he is a candidate to obtain is Bachelors of Fine Art with a focus in Printmaking. When he isn’t found in the print shop working, he spends most of his time eating pizza with his girlfriend, Cassandra. Chad is also interested in the Akron DIY punk community, riding his bike and adventuring through nature.
