SUMMER CAMP: JUNIOR RANGER DAY CAMP

From hands-on science to hiking among towering sandstone cliffs, discover the wonder and beauty of life in your park. Learn about the tiny critters living in the soil and the red-tailed hawk perched in the hemlock tree at this engaging, adventurous camp. By the end of the week, you will earn your official Cuyahoga Valley National Park Jr. Ranger badge!

Who will love this camp? Kids entering grades 1-6 who love nature, learning, and making new friends. Since this is a day camp, it’s great for first-time campers. Learn more about what makes our camps special.

What’s a day at camp like?

9:00 a.m.
Arrive at CVEEC; opening ceremony with a park ranger

9:15 a.m.
Hike to a pond on campus to search for clues about who lives in and around the water in CVNP

11:45 a.m.
Wash up for lunch

12:00 p.m.
Lunch

12:45 p.m.
FROG Time! (fun, recreational, organized games)

1:15 p.m.
Explore the forest on campus, discover what kind of homes animals make among the trees, and create your own shelter!

ADMISSION INFO

What does it cost? $225 for five days, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Save $10 by registering before May 20, and save an additional $10 by becoming a Conservancy member.
