Summit Artspace artists have a show of their own! SA Period!

Works by the talented artists of Summit Artspace at the center on East Market in Akron and on Tusc in Barberton will be on display from April 21-May 20. Come and meet them at a free reception on Friday, April 21, 5-8 pm. Open for May 6 Artwalk.

Artists with studios at the Akron and Barberton locations of Summit Artspace will finally have their own exhibition—just them—opening April 21 in the downtown Akron gallery with a free reception.

Entitled SA Period, the new show will focus on the work of the professional artists who call the Summit Artspace community art centers in Akron and Barberton home.

“We are very proud to be associated with the artists who produce so much beautiful art in our centers. The show is all about them. SA period,” said Summit Artspace Executive Director Kamelia Fisher.

The public is invited to a free reception with the artists on Friday, April 21, 5 to 8 p.m. in the second floor lobby, of Summit Artspace, 140 East Market St., Akron. The exhibition, which runs until May 20, is in the first floor gallery.
