That Been There: Faces and Landscapes by Ron Armour

Hive Mind is a safe space and does not tolerate any forms of bigotry or violence. No drugs.

Hive Mind is proud to present the work of Ron Armour. A talented Akron-based artist, Ron creates portraits and other types of paintings that range from dark and foreboding to surreal to downright trippy. His characters’ faces seem to be impossibly both masked and bare-boned skulls. While he inserts humor into his work and brightens up dark compositions with a full spectrum of colors, many of his paintings are haunted by frightening clown-like creatures, all painted on a velvety black backdrop.

An opening reception will be held on Friday, March 3 from 6pm to 9pm. Refreshments will be provided.

Ron’s work will be on display and for sale for the remainder of March and can be viewed at any Hive Mind event or by appointment. Contact Ron or gestaltcollectivebooking@gmail.com for appointments.

Parking is available across the street from the venue near January Paints. Handicapped parking is available in the Hive Mind gravel lot outside of the venue.
