William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar

In this timely production, Rome is on the verge of crowning Julius Caesar as their new king after 500 years of republic rule. A group of senators plot an assassination to maintain freedom, but it may lead the country into civil war.

Rubber City Shakespeare Company is pleased to present William Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, directed by distinguished Guest Director, Marshall B Garrett.

Guest Director, Marshall B Garrett brings a modern touch to this time-honored tale. Marshall is a director, teacher and scholar based out of the Baltimore, MD area. Marshall received his MFA in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin College and has directed for the Capital Fringe Festival and for educational programs at the American Shakespeare Center. While at Mary Baldwin College, his production of Shakespeare’s War of the Roses was performed, upon invitation, at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.

In addition, this show features an all-star cast of talented local actors. Rubber City Shakespeare Company’s own Producing Artistic Director, Dane CT Leasure takes to the stage to play the infamous title character. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and students, and $12 for youth (ages 7-13).

Students with valid school or university ID can also take advantage of $5 student rush tickets (at the door only, subject to availability).
