Wish You Were Here – The Sight & Sound Of Pink Floyd “Wish You The Moon” with a benefit for Akron Children’s Hospital Palliative Care Center, celebrating the 45th Anniversary of Dark Side Of The Moon.
Performing the landmark 1973 album in its entirety plus Pink Floyd’s greatest hits, classics and obscurities, along with new video, laser and lighting effects, this will be the band’s 4th and largest production ever at the Akron Civic, on the same stage that Pink Floyd played in 1972.
Since 2013, Wish You Were Here’s past 3 benefit concerts in conjunction with the Akron Civic Theater have raised over $55,000 for Akron Children’s Hospital and also Cassidy’s Hope Foundation. This year’s beneficiary, The Akron Children’s Hospital Haslinger Family Pediatric Palliative Care Center, provides care to children, prenatal to young adult, with complex, chronic or serious conditions and their families, enhancing quality of life in partnership with cure-directed care. These organizations also has personal significance to the band.
