The Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors Bureau was created in 1973 to promote Summit County as an ideal destination for meetings, conventions, expositions, group tours and leisure travel pursuits. The Bureau is funded solely by the bed tax collected from visitors utilizing Summit County hotels/motels.
