Community Events Division processes all applications for area organizations that would like to host an event in the city and acts as the city contact for any community event. The division also processes all block party applications, oversees the Street Pole Banner Program, showmobile rentals, and coordinates the All-American Baseball and Softball Parade, the Summer Concert Series in the parks, the Akron Arts Expo weekend, Square Fest and the Welcome Santa Holiday Parade.

In this virtual workshop, Rob Greer, Tyron Hoisten, and Elizabeth Tipton will discuss why representation matters in advertising and content creation, drawing on their recent experience participating in ArtsNow’s SEEN initiative. This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.
