Prior to its new location, the Tallmadge Branch Library opened in a store front in 1961 and moved into a 8700 square foot building located at 32 South Avenue in 1977 in a building owned by the City of Tallmadge that was built for library purposes with funds from the City of Tallmadge income tax at a cost of $332,102.
