The Art of Relief & Landscape

The Art of Relief & Landscape

Presented by Rubber City Prints, Inc. at Rubber City Prints, Inc.

Instructor: Krista Rickert, Director of Rubber City Prints
November 4th 2-5pm

In this one day workshop participants will explore; ways to create line, texture and colors for printing in relief onto fine art papers. Relief process applies ink to the raised areas of a surface while leaving the low areas empty. The workshop will learn how to create imagery through texture, explore landscape patterns and creating a series of fine art relief prints. Students may choose to bring flat textured materials such as, lace, fabric, stencils, foam stickers, scrapbooking materials, natural found objects, leaves, feathers and textured wallpaper. We will provide crafty materials as well! We invite participants to make a “collaboration” print where all participants add something to create a final image and will promote our final image on social media. The class starts at 2pm until 5pm please bring your own beverages/snacks. RCP provides all art supplies, water, coffee and a very enjoyable educational experience. This intro workshop will provide you with experience to have your own Open Studio sessions practicing Relief Process in the future.
