David Lowry

For over 15 years David S. Lowry has captured the beauty of the world around him through a photographic lens. He is an Akron native and current Master of Science student at The University of Akron for Environmental Microbiology.

At an early age, David was introduced to photography at an early age when his mother cultivated his interest by sending him to workshops and submitting photographs to juried shows. Through his exploration of Ohio as well as domestic and international travel his stunning portfolio includes a broad range of subject matter such as macro life, wildlife, architecture, scenery, and abstract visions from around the world. This profile will provide a glimpse into the visual detail David strives to evoke in his subjects, revealing form and color often overlooked.
