Kylie Burke

I began drawing at a young age and picked up acrylic painting when I started high school; from there, I have grown my painting and fine art skills into what they are today. Most of my skill set is self-taught; although, I would like to thank my high school art teacher for inspiring me to pursue the arts.

My style focuses mainly on hyper-realism, but I do like to incorporate a bit of abstract into my work, when I can. I like to experiment with acrylic paint and metallic ink. Most of my paintings are of completely random subject matter – one painting could be an insanely realistic still-life, while another is of a cat, floating around in space; there is seriously zero consistency to what I create, and that’s what makes art fun for me.

Over the years, I have wanted to become a tattoo artist, do commissions for a living, become a “great” artist – amongst many other things – with no one, set path in the arts. I have no idea what I’m doing, but all I do know is that art is what makes me happy, and I want to continue pursuing it in any way that I can.
