9th Annual Crafty Mart Vendor Application


We’re taking over downtown Akron for another amazing Small Business Saturday!

Crafty Mart will be hosting vendors in Musica, Summit Artspace and at the Akron Art Museum.

A quick note about judging: Crafty Mart is a juried show. A panel of judges decide on which vendors will be accepted. We only accept handmade items and leans towards idiosyncratic items that are carefully constructed. The process has become drastically more competitive in the last few years. Crafty Mart tends to favor Akron-area artists, but strives to include at least 25% new vendors and at least 10% from out of town who can bring something new and different to our fine city. We also only accept no more than 25% jewelry vendors. Our goal is to provide a wide variety of options and price points to attract all types of people to our events and offer our shoppers a variety.

Unfortunately, the application fee is not refundable if you are not accepted, and you must pay a new vendor’s fee each time you apply for Crafty Mart. The application process has become increasingly competitive in the past few years and it takes time to go through everyone’s applications and emails.

In addition to your table fee, we will ask for a donation item for our auction that will take place during Crafty Mart. The proceeds of this raffle support our operations and the entrepreneurial training we offer to creatives. Your donation item is tax deductible at it’s wholesale value.

Details for the 9th Annual Crafty Mart:

Date: Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 10 am to 6 pm
Location: Musica 51 E. Market St.; The Akron Art Museum 1 S. High St.; Summit Artspace 140 E. Market St.
Vendor Spaces: Each space is carefully measured out to be 8′ x 5′. This is larger than our previous markets!! Bring your own table and chairs.
Price: $120. There are a limited number of double-length spots available for $200.
Application Fee: $10
Set-up: Saturday 8:30am – You MUST be on premises at 9:15 or we cannot guarantee your spot.
Applications Due: July 30th, 2017
Acceptances Sent Out: no later than August 14th
Vendor Fee Due: August 28, 2017
