During these challenging times, now, more than ever, we need to share messages of gratitude, hope and inspiration.

You are invited to share your messages of hope and inspiration or artwork that will be placed along the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail in Akron.

The Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition and Akron Civic Commons are encouraging community members to submit their message of hope and inspiration for placement along the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail.

The purpose of this program is to encourage and show appreciation for healthcare workers at downtown Akron hospitals, other essential employees, and our community at large during this time.

The words, submitted as text or drawing, will be printed on 18x24 inch signs and placed along the trail in downtown Akron, Ohio & Erie Canal Park (formerly Park East), and Summit Lake.

Submissions should be emailed to akronciviccommons@gmail.com with the submitters name or other attribution.

Submissions can either be sent as text, or as a .PNG or .PDF if it includes artwork.

The first 100 submissions through April 17 will be printed, and all submitters will be entered into a drawing for a gift card to support a local restaurant of their choice.

For more information, please contact Katelyn Freil, Ohio & Erie Canalway Coalition, at kfreil@ohioeriecanal.org
