Dynamics Community Theater of Tallmadge will hold open auditions for Disney's Beauty and the Beast, with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Menken and Tim Rice, and book by Linda Woolverton. Auditions will be held on May 18-19th from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Black Box Theater at Tallmadge High School (140 North Monroe Rd). Callbacks, if needed, will be held May 20th. Please bring a picture (it will not be returned), prepare 16 bars to sing A Capella, and be prepared to read from a script provided that evening. There is casting for 7 male and 4 female leads, with a featured ensemble of wolves, enchanted objects, and townspeople. Those wishing to audition for leads are encouraged to sing something in the style and range of that character. It will be directed by J.E. Ballantyne, Jr., with musical direction by Sandy Michaels. Performances are the evenings of July 22, 23rd, and 29, 30th with a matinee on July 24th. Rehearsals begin May 23rd. Questions may be emailed to producer@dynamicstheater.org.
