The Story: Two brothers, Phillip, and older brother Treat, eke out a meager existence in their North Philly home. One day, Treat kidnaps a mysterious and wealthy businessman named Harold, who eventually turns the table on the brothers, and in a strange way, becomes their surrogate father, until events turn, with catastrophic consequences.

Characters:

Phillip: (late teens, early 20s) Sensitive, highly intelligent, possesses a child-like sense of humor, emotionally attuned to those around him, does whatever is necessary to avoid the wrath of his older brother, Treat.

Treat: (Mid-late 20’s) A petty thief whose issues with abandonment lead him to create an environment in which his brother, Phillip, will not leave their house, let alone him. Easily prone to violent behavior, and possessing a short temper, Phillip is filled with fear that manifests itself as anger, almost all the time.

Harold: (40+ years of age) a professional con man, who assumes the role of surrogate father to Phillip and Treat. Polished, sophisticated, glib and charming, Harold is a master at outconning the con. Over time, he develops a genuine affection for both young men whom he sees as younger versions of himself.
