Do you know an artist, or are you an artist who has something unique to share with the world? Then take a look at the Battle of the Teal, a performing and visual arts showcase for Ohio’s K–12 students.

The 2022 Spring-Summer art showcase application opens on Feb 28, 2022; the submission deadline is May 02, 2022. Registration is FREE. You can apply for visual, performing, or both! If you are under 13, be sure to have your parents or guardian available.

We’ve made our application much easier (approximate completion time five minutes).

  • If you are a performing artist, your showcase file can be submitted as a video or sound for the relevant art forms.
  • If you are a visual artist, your showcase file can be submitted as a high-resolution image or video for the relevant art forms.
  • Any artwork or performance produced within the last twelve months is allowed.
  • Note: We have three divisions: Elementary (K-K4), Middle (K5-K8), and High (K9-K12)

The winners will be announced on May 28, 2022. Scholarship award for “Best in Show.”

We created the Battle of the Teal platform to serve as an outlet for youth to use their artistic expressions to connect with and impact the community and their peers. Art is also a great way to channel emotions and improve social-emotional wellness. Plus, creativity is sought after by today’s employers.

Contact the production team with any questions at battleoftheteal@ineducationonline.org.

iN Education’s Battle of the Teal program is made possible in part by state tax dollars allocated by the Ohio Legislature to the Ohio Arts Council (OAC). The OAC is a state agency that funds and supports quality arts experiences to strengthen Ohio communities culturally, educationally, and economically.
