Description

This position requires a person who is congenial, mature, detail-oriented, and possesses proven people and communication skills. This person, who is discerning and perceptive, relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, as well as, anticipate the needs of customers, volunteers and artists. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining a pleasant and "customer friendly" orientation. 

Examples of Duties

Responsible to coordinate dressing room hospitality needs for each concert, in each theater, based on the requirements detailed out in each contract with the Events Production Manager and/or General Manager and AGM.
Responsible for shopping for said hospitality items on a weekly or per show basis, whichever is the best use of time.
Responsible for coordinating the ordering of meals for each concert including going to pick up the meal if necessary.
Responsible for the overall upkeep and cleanliness of the dressing rooms in both theaters during concert time (not theater time) including implementing improvements like furniture covers, decorative pillows, air fresheners, and communicating with maintenance staff the removal of trash/recyclables and restocking of restrooms.
Responsible for keeping the basic needs of catering replenished and shopping as needed.
Responsible for maintaining the current stock of bath and hand towels for the exclusive use of the touring artists – coordinating the use of the washer and dryer in the costume shop with the Costume Shop Manager, replenishing detergent/softener/bleach as needed.
Being onsite during events to be contact for tour managers with regard to hospitality and catering needs, as needed.
Act as a "runner" as needed for touring groups as required by the contract.
Responsible for turning in mileage accrued when using your personal car to shop for hospitality items or serving as a runner.
Work with General Manager in determining if a rental van is needed for transportation of touring band.  Coordinate said rental with GM or AGM, going to the rental car place to pick up rental vehicle if needed.
With the GM/AGM coordinate any receptions held at the park including, Art Gallery openings, Opening Night parties, etc.
Act as a liaison between the onsite concessionaire with regard to wine tastings, boxed dinner orders and the Friends of Cain Park benefit party.
Responsible to attend any meetings as required by the General Manager.
Responsible to work with other Cain Park and City employees for any additional Arts Festival or Park production needs.
Maintain high safety levels at all times for Park patrons, volunteers and employees.
Responsible to maintain a professional atmosphere among staff and volunteers.
Responsible to report all problems to Operations Manager.
Prior to receipt of the final paycheck, you will be required to submit a written final report summarizing the events of the season and suggestions for improvement.
Any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Operations Manager or General Manager.
 

Typical Qualifications 

Valid Ohio Driver's License
High school diploma or equivalent required
Some college education a plus
Knowledge of the east side of Cleveland strongly desired
Event/party planning experience a plus
Self motivated and able to work independently
Mature
