Apparitions are mental projections, ghosts, visions, or spiritual messengers. In the United States, apparitions are most commonly thought of as ghosts and are often perceived as frightening. However, in Europe, the term “Apparitions” refers to the visitations of the saints, who often appeared to young women of middle-class or poor background.
