Monument Lab is seeking a full-time graphic designer with expertise, skills and experience to support a variety of organizational and project-based design needs.Reporting to the Associate Director of Communications, this position will work in close collaboration with Monument Lab’s partnerships, communications, and project teams.

Responsibilities
Organizational Design
Develop and implement core Monument Lab brand design guidelines, ensuring that such guidelines are available to and followed by team members and partners.
Manage the design and production of Monument Lab core digital and print assets (pamphlets, business cards, postcards, posters, letterhead, development materials, etc.).
Design lead visuals and templates for digital media platforms for Monument Lab’s core programs and communications, this includes but is not limited to the bulletin, events, the podcast, the store and the newsletter.
Design templates for communications and social media: Facebook and twitter banners, Instagram squares, and newsletter layouts
Design graphics and signage for programs and events (virtual and in-person): zoom graphics, eventbrite graphics, and basic signage and wayfinding assets (sandwich boards, banners, tablecloths, and directional signage)
Coordinate with the manager of the Monument Lab retail store to design merchandise, advise on guest-designed merchandise, ensuring quality, and fidelity.

Project-Based Design

Provide strategic visual concept expertise on select Monument Lab projects to include helping to establish specific design needs, identifying when external expertise is required, and offering feedback on lead visuals and branding that are developed by independent contractors or external firms.
Lead the design and branding activities for small-scale projects or partnerships, to include developing key visuals (logo, mark and lead graphic) and flexible templates. Small-scale projects are assigned on a case-by-case basis.
Assist in the develop project-specific design briefs to solicit external support and participate in the proposal review process.
Qualifications
In Depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Bridge
Advanced proficiency with presentation software (PowerPoint or Keynote)
Digital, Web, Print and Video marketing experience
Experience designing with data (visualizations/graphs/maps/etc.), and digital, web, print and video marketing.
Additional skills in Adobe Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, Lightroom and 3D modeling, and illustration are a plus, but not required.
Ability to work on multiple projects, at multiple timelines, while maintaining an excellent attention to detail
Ability to uphold established creative standards and brand consistency across all projects
Ability to quickly adapt to the tone and audience of given projects as needed
Two to three years of graphic design experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Position Type
Full-Time; 40 hours a week exempt; salaried with benefits. Compensation is $60,000
Location
This position is open to candidates anywhere who can work on a Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM EST schedule. Monument Lab’s studio headquarters is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This position will require quarterly trips to Philadelphia, paid for by the organization.
