JOB TITLE: Graphic Designer

REPORTS TO: Assistant City Manager

The City of Cleveland Heights is accepting applications for the position of Graphic Designer. The primary responsibilities include designing major brochures, flyers, logos and graphics for all City Departments. The designer will develop the look of the advertising/marketing campaigns and also provide photographs when needed. Designer must be able to create print specs for major productions and evaluate the results. Designer must be able to coordinate materials with print companies and advertisers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Graphic Design or Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Design or related area.
Minimum of five (5) years of Design experience.
Must be proficient in InDesign, Photoshop and digital photography.
Must have knowledge of and experience with 6 color print production as well as digital and screen printing.
Availability to attend some City events in the evening and on weekends.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
The ability to translate the vision of the client into an accurate design.
The ability to work on several design projects simultaneously.
The ability to be a true team player and collaborator with PR staff and other city staff.
Must have enthusiasm for showcasing the City of Cleveland Heights in creative ways.
