JOB POSTING: AKRON ZOO SEASONAL EMPLOYMENT EXPO

   

We will be holding a Seasonal Employment Expo on February 26 and March 4 from 4-7 p.m. and on February 27 and March 5 from 9 a.m. - noon.

Guest Services positions: food service, gift shop, birthday parties, admissions and rides will be holding on-site interviews. Information available regarding the following positions: groundskeeping, custodial and education.

Please fill out an application (below) and bring it to the expo. Do not email your resume or application to the zoo just bring it with you to the expo.

Below are a description of some of the Guest Services poisitions that are available:

Admissions

Ticket Counter - Cash register

Ticket Taker – Scanning tickets and memberships

Parking Gate – Greeter
Office – Answering phone calls

 

Rides

Carousel operator

Train ride operator

Cashier

Birthday parties

 

Gift Shop Sales Associate

10 Open Positions

Duties:

Sales, Cashiering, Rentals, Guest Interactions, Stocking, Merchandising and Housekeeping

Requirements: Excellent Customer Service Skills, Sales Focus, Flexible and Open Schedule, Multi-tasking, Computer or Cash Register Skills

 

Food Service

Duties:

Ensure safety standards are maintained while food is being cooked.

Prepare and serve the food.

Respond to customer preferences and complaints.

Bus tables and expedite food.

Cleaning of the dining area and kitchen including the utensils.

Follows proper sanitation procedures.

Deal directly with customers

Handle cash and cash register responsibility.

Communicate with internal departments

 

Phone calls cannot be accepted for job inquiries.You must be 18 years or older to work at the Akron Zoo.

Arts & Culture Inclusion Council Presents: Representation Matters- Photography and Ad Spend

This panel will be moderated by a member of the Arts & Culture Inclusion Council.
