Thrive Arts, opening mid January 2017 is hiring for part-time dance teachers. If you have a love for young children, enjoy a collaborative work environment, are a team player, are eager to learn an exciting and proven research-based dance curricula, then we’d love to meet you!

REQUIREMENTS
A love of working with children and teens.
Classical ballet training (professional experience not required). Clear understanding of basic ballet for children from 3-years of age and up.
Thirst for learning about early childhood development, behaviors, and developmentally appropriate demands on students.
Comfortable leading a class and interacting with parents and children.
Year-long teaching commitment.
Experience in early childhood education a plus.
Advanced degree in Dance Pedagogy or Dance Performance a plus.
Comfortable using computer systems for office documentation, record keeping, social media, e-mail, etc.
Comfortable with online learning and using web-based technologies.
Training on-site and travel (once per year) in well-reputed dance curricula. Expenses paid by Thrive.
Non-compete agreement for certain licensed Thrive dance program offerings.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
You will learn lesson plans each week in preparation for teaching. You will have a consistent weekly schedule and will follow up with student families to make sure that you are meeting their needs. You will be guided and mentored in early childhood development and relationship building to help you with your studio experience.
