The Akron Civic Theater is showcasing local talent.

CALL OUT FOR ARTISTS! As the saying goes, the show must go on and we want to do just that! We’re rolling out a new platform for Akron Civic Theatre programming, livevirtually. Our area is rich in talent, and The Civic has proudly hosted performances by hundreds of local entertainers. We know many of you are hosting virtual events (concerts, poetry readings, monologues, dance, etc) in order to stay engaged with your fans during this time when public gatherings are banned.

Email us at civiclivevirtually@gmail.com and tell us what you are doing and when you’ll be doing it, along with a link to the event on your social media platform. We’ll consider your event for inclusion on our platform based on schedule and programming balance – livevirtually will feature national artists and community-based content as well. You create the event, you put up the tip jar, you keep the proceeds. The Civic uses our social media platform to promote it. Simple as that. We can’t wait to see what you all come up with. The possibilities are endless.
