Kristina Malcolm is a professional artist and silversmith. She teaches part-time at local universities.

Metalsmithing Basics- all levels
October 3, 10, 17, 24th 6-9pm
$209 plus $10 minimum materials fee each class
minimum 4, maximum 6 students.
This class is designed to cover many all-purpose techniques in metalsmithing including: sanding, filing, sawing, cutting, piercing, textures (hammer, stamping, etc.), polishing, patinas, cold connections, annealing, soldering, ring making, and basic forming. Students will complete one small project featuring the techniques discussed during each class.

Workshop fee is $209 per student for four classes. Materials fee is an additional cost with a $10 minimum each class, will depend on what you use, and will be paid to the instructor during class. Jewelry Soldering - Beginners
November 19th 12:30-5pm
$59 plus $10 minimum materials fee
minimum 4, maximum 6 students.
This class is all about learning techniques to solder silver, copper, and brass with a torch at home for use in jewelry or small metal projects. Please wear closed toed shoes and long hair back. Registration and class payment required in advance.

Silver Casting for Home Jewelers - Intermediate
December 18th 12:30-5pm
$59 plus $10 minimum materials fee
minimum 4, maximum 6 students.
This class features low-tech casting methods for jewelry or small metal projects focusing on recycling silver scraps from your home studio. Students will be able to sample three or four different casting types during the class.
Workshop fee is $59 per student. Materials fee is an additional cost with a $10 minimum, will depend on what you use, and will be paid to the instructor during class.
