@burningriverbq and @freshperspectivescle invite submissions for a poetry call as part of our program “The Other Side of the Story” on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 in downtown Cleveland. Our program includes issues of gender roles, female identity, issues of consent, a re-telling of stories usually told by the victor, and #MeToo campaign issues of healing from any sort of sexual trauma. We are seeking poetry of any length or style to be displayed for audience members before/during/after the show. Composers will attend and if you would consider having your poetry be used in a future piece, please include that in your submission as some composers may be searching for text to set in pieces. Please send submissions to poetry@burning-river-baroque.org as a pdf attachment ready to be printed and displayed on 8.5x11 paper. If you are open to text setting, please include "Open to a conversation about text setting" at the end of your work along with the best way for those interested to contact you.
