Split Creative, a digital media company located in Cleveland, Ohio is looking for a host/hostess for a Esports TV show. Split Creative is looking for an experienced host/hostess to join our lifestyle and entertainment program that will air on the Armed Forces TV Network. The ideal candidate will have entertainment hosting or reporting experience and will be comfortable in an on-location and in-studio setting, in both a scripted and non-scripted environment. Strong interviewing and story development skills needed. The host/hostess will be the face of the program and is required to have a strong personality, excellent communication skills and the ability to engage an audience.

The host/hostess will work both in-studio in our Cleveland studio and on-location as content dictates. Most of the time will be spent in Cleveland with some additional time spent at various Esports tournaments. The host/hostess will also contribute story ideas, write scripts, arrange interviews and provide fact-checking.

Work performed is for all media platforms and initiatives, including for example: on-air, web, digital and social media. The host/hostess collaborates with producers and news management in the development of content for news shows, promotions, and online. May appear in promotions as assigned.

The host/hostess must be comfortable in front of large crowds, with strong improvisational skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet. A great, engaging voice that commands attention and delivers assigned messages with impact is a must.

  • Previous on-camera experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications or related field, or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • Must be able to interview and speak on-camera.
  • Must provide a headshot.
  • Provide Video if possible.
  • Knowledge of current video games and Esports is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Ability to commit to 13 episodes that will be created between now and October 2019.
  • Ability to interpret information quickly and summarize into a clear, concise, relevant and understandable presentation.
  • Willingness to travel to a few Esports tournaments.
  • Must be a strong team player and able to work with other talents, production crew, and staff
  • Must be a skilled communicator capable of speaking to a diverse audience and conveying messages effectively.

This is a 13-episode contract job with the option to stay on for the next set of 13 episodes.

We cover the cost of any necessary travel and accommodations.

Auditions will be held in Cleveland on Saturday, March 2, 2019.
