HELLO, EVERYONE!
I'm excited to inform you that I am starting a new choral group, called Sonner Nouveaux (pronounced sohn-nae noo-voh). I'm looking for younger (late high school to 40ish) choristers that are:
1) vocally independent
2) able to blend
3) able to read music
I'm forming a younger choir because the demographic for most choirs in our community is older, and I believe that some younger choristers may feel out of place in those groups. Also, my goal is to use only original compositions and arrangements from local composers. I want to give up-and-coming songwriters an opportunity to have their music premiered/performed, and represented well.
We will meet once a month on the third Saturday of each month, at the same time, with the first concert being in July of 2016. The main ingredient of this choir is prep and study in between rehearsals. I'm setting rehearsals at once a month because I know you all are busy already, and I don't want to impose on your schedules.
Once you contact me, I'll email you the piece to prepare for the audition. Feel free to contact me directly with any questions about the audition, the direction of the choir, etc. I'm looking forward to meeting new talented vocalists.
