Last February, we were overwhelmed by the Barberton community’s kindness and generosity during our "Valentines for Seniors" program. We received enough handmade Valentines for three local nursing home facilities: Brookdale, Pleasant Pointe, and Manor Care (now ProMedica).
We are once again calling out to our Barberton Library community to make handmade Valentines for these special people. We will have a limited supply of "BPL loves you!" Senior Valentine Craft Bags available for pick up beginning on February 1st. Each bag will contain cardstock, stickers, and other embellishments needed to make a lovely Valentine card. You may also purchase Valentine cards or use your own materials to make them. THIS PROGRAM IS FOR ALL AGES AND ARTISTIC ABILITIES!
Note: Do not put your Valentine's card in an envelope. Sign your name, but don't address it to a specific person.
Drop your cards off to us on or before February 12. On February 14, the Reference Department will package the valentines up and deliver them to senior care facilities and to our Homebound patrons in Barberton. Thank you!
